The Bible is God’s gift to us. Words have power, and no words are more potent than those in sacred Scripture. The Bible can be challenging because there are thousands of years between us and those words. If that were not difficult enough, the original words were written in at least three original languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. Since then, the Biblical languages have been rewritten in hundreds of languages and dialects.
The Holy Spirit is recognizable in the way all the different words, in all those languages and amid the various cultures, remain vital to all. Over the centuries, too many coincidences were required not to be influenced by the Holy Spirit.
God is inviting you to own the divine Words offered in Scripture. These words were good enough for Abraham and Sarah, Moses, David, the prophets, the Messiah, the Apostles, and many others. These words were transformative for royalty, enslaved people, and others from every walk of life.
Today, begin earning the words God has given you. Dive into the Bible and claim it as your own. When understanding becomes challenging, do not get frustrated. Use the struggle to lean on the Holy Spirit and experience God coming alive in your heart. Soon, each law, proverb, parable, and story will guide you through life’s events with compassion, wisdom, and care.
