Dear God

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Faith requires us to turn off the autopilot. Sometimes, even reading my devotions can be done on autopilot. “Great, that is done, now I can check it off my ‘To-Do’ list and move on with my day!” So today, instead of reading a regular devotion, take an extra five minutes and actively communicate with God. You just might be surprised by what you and God might decide.
