Walk Westminster’s Labyrinth During Lent

(Sample Prayer Labyrinth)

You are invited to walk Westminster’s labyrinth in the Chapel during the season of Lent. Labyrinths are ancient maze-like paths that have been used for spiritual practice all over the world for centuries. Walking a labyrinth can be symbolic of our personal journey of faith: life may have many twists and turns, yet we take a single path one step at a time as we seek to move closer to God.  As you walk the labyrinth, you may silently repeat a familiar prayer, mediate on a single word, or simply focus on God’s presence and grace. The process can reduce stress and promote a sense of healing and wholeness. Follow the path to the center, then retrace your steps back to the beginning.

The labyrinth is available for use on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and during the week during normal church office hours. Please enter through the southwest door, so a staff member can open the door for you.
