Book Club to Meet April 5 to discuss Bringing Down the Duke

The Westminster Book Club will meet Wednesday, April 5, at 4:00 PM in-person in Simmerman Lounge for a discussion of the book Bringing Down the Duke by Evie Dunmore.

The setting of this love story is England, in 1879. Annabelle Archer, the brilliant but destitute daughter of a country vicar, has earned herself a place among the first cohort of female students at the University of Oxford. In return for her scholarship, she must support the rising women’s suffrage movement. Her charge: recruit men of influence to champion their cause; her target: the cold and calculating Sebastian Devereux, the Duke of Montgomery.
