“A Family Affair” Art Exhibit in the Gallery

The Westminster Visual Arts Committee announces a new exhibit in the Gallery: “A Family Affair” featuring art by Anna Stoysich, Jorge Colorado, and their seven-year-old son Mateo. The family resides in Malvern, Iowa, in the southwestern corner of our state.

Anna and Jorge enjoy being outdoors, where nature inspires their art. Together they have participated in artist-in-residency programs in Waubonsie State Park (in the Loess Hills), and White Rock Conservancy near Coon Rapids.

Anna was originally from Omaha, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. She does ceramics and oil paintings. Jorge is from Mexico and studied art at Universidad del Valle de Mexico. He creates oil paintings, watercolors and gouache art. The couple has passed along their artistic talents to their son, who has also contributed works to this show.

For more information about these artists and their work, visit annastoysich.com and jcoloradoart.com.

The exhibit will continue through the end of April. Please visit the Gallery on the lower level of the church near the Franklin entrance (and don’t miss the works displayed outside the church office).
