A Message from Seth Austin
Most of you may not know me because of the pandemic, but my name is Seth Austin, I am the new Building and Grounds Superintendent. I have been here for over a year now, but with the church being shutdown, most of us haven’t had a chance to meet. However, it has given me plenty of time to get to know the building and grounds.
Westminster is a beautiful church with so much history, and I intend to keep it that way. I have been working on maintaining all of the equipment and special projects that were handed over to me when Dan left. To date, over 40 safety-related projects have been completed, and that number continues to grow daily.
During the winter we brought in two large dumpsters to get some areas of the church decluttered. We now have a wide-open attic space, a new storage room for church decorations; and countless offices, classrooms, and other storage areas which have been freed of clutter. Thank you for all the help and recommendations I received from staff and volunteers with that project.
I was recently told that we may be getting several interns this summer (through the SUMMIT program). It will be a joy to teach them a few things and have them help with maintaining the building and grounds.
I want to thank everyone for allowing me to be a small part of this great church, and I look forward to the time when we can meet again.
