Youth Week is Here

Westminster Youth Week is June 5th through the 10th this year. Here is a breakdown of the schedule:

Monday, June 5th - Earth/Water Day

  • Mini golf at Jester Park followed by walking trails, picnic lunch, and swimming at Big Creek State Park.

Tuesday, June 6th - Animal Day

  • Volunteering at the ARL, picnic lunch, and a visit to Coffee Cats Café

Wednesday, June 7th - Church Day

  • Volunteering at church in the morning and afternoon, we will cook lunch together at church and rest. Later, heading off to Pastor Bill’s Pool. Transportation will be provided between church and the pool party.

Thursday, June 8th - Art Day

  • We’ll do an art project at church in the morning and pack a lunch to eat at the Sculpture Park downtown. After lunch, we’ll head to the Des Moines Art Center.

Friday, June 9th - Food Day

  • We’ll work a shift at Meals from the Heartland in the morning before eating a picnic lunch at Grey’s Lake Park. After lunch we’ll head to DMARC to help sort food.

Saturday, June 10th - Family Day

  • Family outing to a Des Moines Menace match at Valley Stadium. All family members invited. Parents, littles, and even your dog(s) are welcome! There is a Menace Dog Water Bowl Giveaway for the first 150 dogs (and owners). Food will be on your own (Cash only). Tickets are $5 per person through Westminster.
