Year of Kindness and Gratitude: Thank you Westminster!

The Westminster Staff is grateful for all of our members who helped in many ways to get ready for Easter. For everything to come together takes a lot of work. So, it was a busy week for many of our church volunteers! The North and SW parking lots were almost filled both Friday and Saturday with volunteers helping around the church.

Building & Grounds Committee was busy raking and cleaning around the grounds and God’s Garden on Saturday. The weather cooperated and lots of bags were ready for pick-up. The outside flowers looked beautiful to welcome churchgoers.

Inside the church was bustling with Sanctuary Guild and additional volunteers decorating the Sanctuary and Narthex areas. Banners were hung in the Sanctuary – you don’t realize how much time and effort it takes to make sure each banner is just right! We had more Easter flowers than ever. Thank you to all those who purchased flowers in memory or honor of loved ones. The flowers were beautiful thanks to the arrangements by Sanctuary Guild! Fellowship volunteers were decorating The Commons – you may have noticed lots of bunnies around!

Thank you to the choir for two powerful services Easter morning, making the services celebratory, triumphant, and joyful. They dedicated their morning to making memorable worshipful moments for the whole community at Westminster.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped with the Easter celebration, and our liturgists, front desk receptionists, ushers, greeters, Sunday bus driver, and AV team who got us through two services on Easter morning. We can’t forget to thank our bakers who contributed cookies and desserts for our celebration. And the Sunday Fellowship team who volunteered their time through two services, including before and after! The Sanctuary Care team who made sure everything was neat and tidy in the Sanctuary.

And, we are grateful for all our members who came to help us celebrate on Easter Sunday! We are truly blessed and grateful for all of you!
