Stewardship is Heart Work

From Pastor Scott Paczkowski

Yes, the theme is a play on words. Stewardship shouldn’t be hard work but a way of life based on your heart. When you give to Westminster, you support God’s ministry by sharing the gospel’s good news to all ages, providing missions to our community and world, and honoring God in our worship and care ministries. There is comfort and affirmation in knowing you can give to one place and make a lasting difference in many ways.

Our Stewardship Kick-Off will occur on Sunday, October 8th, with a brunch after worship. We are catering the food; best of all, the staff will serve you! Put the date on your calendar, and join us in person. A brunch doesn’t work online. Then, that week, you will receive your pledge card. Please pray over your pledge card before deciding on your gift for the coming year. Westminster’s ministry relies on each person’s financial and time commitment. The Holy Spirit blesses your commitment and multiplies our ministry.

Then, on Sunday, October 15th, after worship, we will experience the Fine Arts Series on Storytelling and celebrate our 50-year members. The storyteller will guide you through the memory of stewardship of time and giving throughout your life. Join us, and look forward to the Holy Spirit guiding you through your story. Then, the next two weeks will focus on gathering the pledge cards and thanking all of you for your ongoing commitment to God through Westminster.

Come and enjoy our special day. We will have a great time at the brunch, and it will be a perfect opportunity to get acquainted with people you don’t know well and have fun with friends you already know. With your participation, 2023-2024 will make a lasting difference in your faith life.

Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:21)
