Hi, and welcome to my little corner of the Westminster website! I am Tim Wilson, Westminster’s Director of Development and Stewardship, In this part-time position, my roles include supporting year-round stewardship, facilitating congregational growth and assisting the Westminster Foundation.
My work involves asking a variety of questions, the nature of which varies based on the aspect of my work and who I’m talking to. These include “What drew you to first visit Westminster and to come back? “What ministries especially speak to you in helping you live out your faith?” “What aspects of Westminster are most important to continue for future generations after you are gone?” and “Are you gonna eat that?” These apply, in order to: meeting with prospective new members, discussing stewardship, sharing opportunities available through the Foundation, and when I happen to be hungry. (OK, I’ll admit the latter could accompany any of the first three conversations.) I enjoy working at Westminster in part because members have good answers to these questions, sometimes including the latter.
I hold degrees in political science from Northern Illinois University (BA) and the Pennsylvania State University (MA). I have lived in five states but now call Indianola “home,” where I live with my wife and cats.
